Hamilton Insurance Group said it has reorganized a key underwriting team involving its Lloyd’s operations after the departure of two executives.
Hamilton Underwriting Ltd.—the managing agency of Syndicate 3334 and the Lloyd’s operations of Hamilton Insurance Group—made the following promotions:
- Adrian Daws, Head of Specialty, and Miles Osorio, Head of Direct & Facultative Property, will each become Active Underwriter. They’ll report to Hamilton Underwriting Ltd. CEO Dermot O’Donohoe.
- Sima Adhya, Head of Space, will take on the additional position of Deputy Active Underwriter. Adhya will report to Osorio.
- Sinead Cormican, Senior Underwriter, Direct & Facultative Property, will take on the role of Head of Property. She’ll report to Osorio.
- Daniel Prince, Head of Professional Indemnity, will report to Daws.
Hamilton Underwriting Ltd. made its staff changes after the resignation of Trevor Carvey, Active Underwriter and Head of Treaty, and the departure of Active Underwriter Stuart Quinlan.
“We have significant bench strength,” O’Donohoe said in prepared remarks. “It wasn’t difficult to determine where the skills of our underwriters align with our plans for growth and development.”
O’Donohoe and Hamilton gave little explanation for Carvey and Quinlan’s respective departures.
O’Donohoe pointed out that Carvey gave six months’ notice and said the company “will have the benefit of his counsel during the transition period.”
Regarding Quinlan, O’Donohoe thanked him for his contributions and said, “We wish him well in his future endeavors.”
