Steve Boshoven is retiring from Farmers Group after an insurance industry career spanning more than 30 years.
Boshoven is currently president of Farmers Specialty and head of the Foremost Brand, an insurer of specialty products such as mobile homes, motor homes, travel trailers and specialty dwellings.
Mike Cok, long-time chief operating officer of Farmers Specialty and the Foremost Brand, will succeed Boshoven as of Jan. 1, 2018. Boshoven’s effective retirement date will be May 1, 2018.
Boshoven joined Farmers in 2000 when Foremost Corporation of America was acquired. He had been there since February 1986 as its controller. After the acquisition, he rose through the ranks and was promoted to the position of chief operating officer of Farmers Specialty Lines and to president and chief operating officer in 2006. In 2007, he was appointed senior vice president of Farmers Group, Inc.
Cok is another senior Foremost leader who stayed on after the 2000 acquisition, where he had been since 1987 as assistant treasurer and controller. Before Foremost, Cok worked for international accounting and consulting firm Deloitte.
In 2013, he took on his current position of chief operating officer for Farmers Specialty and the Foremost Brand.
