An ex-Chubb executive is now with Argo Group International Holdings Ltd., slated to lead its Latin America business. Swiss Re Corporate Solutions appointed an executive to lead its new office in Manchester UK, which was established to help grow its regional commercial insurance portfolio.

A former Chubb Group executive joined Argo Group International Holdings Ltd. to lead its Latin America business, including insurance and
reinsurance operations in Central and South America.
Jorge Luis Cazar León takes on the new position immediately; he’ll report to Jose Hernandez, head of international.
Cazar was most recently division president, international accident and health business for Chubb, and was part of the legacy ACE business (prior to the ACE/Chubb merger). He became regional president of ACE’s Latin America operations in 2006, kept that position after ACE’s merger with Chubb. He joined ACE in 2001. Before that, he held a number of leadership roles with CIGNA International, a global property/casualty company ACE purchased in 1999.

Shelley Wright has been appointed as head of Swiss Re
Corporate Solutions’ new office in Manchester UK, which was established to help grow its regional commercial insurance portfolio.
The operation will serve large and upper mid-sized companies through national broking partners with focus on primary property, casualty and select specialty business. It’s scheduled to be fully operational by mid-July, Swiss Re in a statement.
Wright has more than 30 years’ experience in the insurance sector, including a strong underwriting and sales background as well as extensive knowledge of the UK regional market.
Her previous experience includes being director of innovation and new products at Lorega Ltd., a provider of claims and assistance insurance product to the small business and homeowner markets.
