Online startup Next Insurance has partnered with Munich Re to launch a product targeting commercial photographers, allowing them to buy, renew and maintain their policies online.
Photographers will be able to pay for insurance on a monthly subscription basis in all 50 states. The available packages are tailored based on a deep understanding of the industry as well as discussions with photographers so that usual exceptions like liability and off-premise use of cameras are covered.
QBE North America has joined with technology and outsourcing solution provider Patriot National to launch a program to write workers compensation and employers liability insurance policies for hospitality, healthcare, property management and manufacturing accounts.
Patriot National will serve as program administrator with defined underwriting, claims administration and loss control authority on behalf of QBE.
As of Dec. 12, the coverage is available in Alabama, Arizona, Georgia, Illinois, Kansas, Missouri, North Carolina, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Virginia and Vermont.
Marsh has launched a proprietary casualty insurance program designed to offer accessible coverage for multifamily property owners and managers experiencing challenging habitational insurance market conditions.
Marsh’s PRIME Habitational Casualty Insurance Program was developed in collaboration with Endurance Global Risk Solutions. The product offers a number of policy enhancements including first-dollar coverage, separate aggregate limits per location and enhanced environmental/pollution coverage.
Marsh said the coverage complements the PRIME Habitational Property Insurance Facility that launched in January 2014 and the PRIME Environmental program that launched in November 2015.
Guy Carpenter, a wholly owned subsidiary of Marsh & McLennan Cos., has created a Global Strategic Advisory organization comprised of its advisory, analytics, structured risk, M&A advisory, Lloyd’s capital and business intelligence capabilities.
Rob Bentley, who most recently ran the U.S. and Canada division of Marsh, has been appointed president of the unit. Vicky Carter, who most recently served as vice chair of Guy Carpenter’s international operations, has been appointed vice chairman of the unit. Both will report to Peter Hearn, president and CEO of Guy Carpenter.
