Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance added new employment practices liability coverage. Everest Insurance expanded its environmental coverage offering.
Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance is now offering employment practices liability insurance coverage.
The insurer said the coverage, slated to be part of its Executive First line of policies, will offer coverage for companies facing harassment, discrimination, wrongful termination, retaliation, failure to employ or promote,
and other claims filed by employees, regulators, customers and others.
BHSI said that the policy will include limits of up to $25 million and include coverage for exposures such as those stemming from genetic information, military status, sexual orientation or preference, and improper internet activity. Employment practices liability insurance policyholders will also gain access to other related Executive First coverages for executive liability for commercial and financial firms, including those with the most complex risk-transfer needs.
Everest Insurance expanded its environmental coverage offering with its new ESP policy form.
Everest describes the addition as a “mono-line site pollution policy form” that includes coverage for new and pre-existing pollution conditions for bodily injury, property damage and cleanup costs.
Enhancements are available, including cover for non-owned location pollution liability, transportation pollution liability and business interruption expenses.
As well, the Everest ESP offering includes loss control services and unique/customizable endorsements and enhancements for manufacturing facilities, strip malls, office buildings, public entities, schools and universities.
