Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance named a new executive to lead and launch its cyber liability product line in New Zealand. AXIS Capital Holdings hired a former CNA executive for a senior, U.S. leadership role.
Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance named Ian Marshall to lead its new cyber liability product line in New Zealand.
Marshall will be senior underwriter, Executive & Professional Lines.
Previously, Marshall was at Lumley General Insurance, where he was most recently senior underwriter, Liability Centre of Expertise. He also has prior experience working as senior underwriter, Professional Liability at AIG Insurance New Zealand Ltd.
A former CNA Financial Corp. executive joined up with AXIS Capital Holdings Ltd. in a leadership role.
John Tatum is the new executive vice president and head of U.S. Programs for AXIS Insurance, a division of AXIS Capital Holdings Ltd. For his new role, he’s based in Chicago and Alpharetta, GA, responsible for all programs and binding authorities for AXIS Insurance throughout the U.S. market.
Tatum is a 20-plus-year insurance industry veteran. For 15 of those years he was at CNA, most recently senior vice president of the insurer’s Middle Market, Construction and Large Casualty business unit. While there, he led CAN’s Commercial Affiliation Marketing programs for more than 10 years.
Tatum will report directly to Carlton Maner, CEO of the U.S. division for AXIS Insurance.
