Bermuda-based Hamilton Insurance Group is opening new offices in London to support its growth in the Lloyd’s market.
In April 2015, Hamilton acquired a niche sports underwriting managing agency, renamed Hamilton Underwriting Limited, and Syndicate 3334 in a move to establish a diversified platform at Lloyd’s.
Managed by Hamilton Underwriting Limited and marketed as Hamilton at Lloyd’s, Syndicate 3334 writes seven classes of business: accident and health, contingency, financial institutions, direct and facultative property, professional indemnity, space, and treaty insurance.
Over the last year, CEO Dermot O’Donohoe has recruited a team of insurance professionals to fill out and expand the division, including Active Underwriter and Head of Treaty Trevor Carvey, Deputy Active Underwriter and Head of Professional Lines Stuart Quinlan, and Deputy Active Underwriter and Head of Specialty Adrian Daws.
