Insurance price comparison website comparenow.com has announced that it will now operate as compare.com.
According to a statement, the company decided to create a simpler identity following recent success in signing 40 insurance companies to its panel, as well as future geographic and product vertical expansion plans.
“Despite the name change, we remain the same great organization with the same high standard of quality products and services that we have always had,” CEO Andrew Rose said in a statement. “The only thing that has changed is the name, which is now more consistent with our customer proposition: simplicity, efficiency and value.”
Launched in March 2013, compare.com currently offers car insurance comparison services for U.S. consumers in 48 states. Users fill out one series of questions to see a compilation of quotes, listed from least expensive to most expensive. The key difference between other insurance websites and compare.com, the company said, is that compare.com offers accurate rates—not estimates or calculations. Users may then choose the policy that is most compatible with their needs and purchase on the web, over the phone or with an agent.
