Novarica said it is bringing on an international insurance technology veteran as a principal to the company.
Mitch Wein will be joining the firm on Nov. 1, working out of its New York office. He was previously a chief technology officer at AXA UK, AXA Equitable and AIG Domestic Brokerage Group, among other positions, Novarica said.
Novarica noted that Wein’s expertise includes application development, infrastructure, architecture, process improvement, quality assurance, business continuity and disaster recovery, outsourcing, performance and scalability. Novarica managing director Matthew Josefowicz added in a statement that Wein’s background covers property/casualty, life/annuity, health and wealth management, domestically and internationally.
Separately, Novarica hired Paul Ptashnick as its marketing director. He previously held similar positions at CoreLogic and RiskMeter and works out of Novarica’s Boston office.
Novarica is a research and advisory firm focused on technology strategy, and the firm has a client base of more than 75 insurers.
