A.M. Best Co. announced the incorporation of its new subsidiary, A.M. Best América Latina, S.A. de C.V. The new office will be located in the financial district of Mexico City at Paseo de la Reforma 412 and will service Central and South America, excluding Brazil, which will continue to be serviced from its U.S. head office in Oldwick, New Jersey.
Andrea Keenan, managing director, A.M. Best América Latina, will be responsible for the setup and staffing of the office in Mexico City.
Matthew Mosher, CEO, A.M. Best América Latina, said that the development of the Mexican insurance market and the insurance markets in the entire region continues to be strong. “The establishment of A.M. Best América Latina will allow A.M. Best to properly serve these markets as the importance of third party rating opinions continues to grow,” he said.
