Swiss Re released a report to measure its compliance with sustainability principles that it helped to create, revealing in the report that the reinsurer declined to enter into 23 business transactions that fell short of the principles’ criteria.

Together with the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) and other partners, Swiss Re said it played an active role in developing Principles for Sustainable Insurance—part of an initiative to advance sustainable business practices across the insurance and reinsurance industry.
