Darcy Shapiro is the Chief Operating Officer for the Americas for Cover Genius, where she is leading Operations including Insurance, Legal, Finance and Compliance across the United States, Canada and Latin America. Shapiro joined Cover Genius in 2018 from The Hartford, where she was the Product Director for Cyber, Tech, Media and Miscellaneous Professional Liability products and developed The Hartford's first admitted Cyber policy. In addition to product development and portfolio management experience, she spent time at AIG and the specialty division of Liberty Mutual in different roles including claims counsel and litigation management. Shapiro is an active, sponsored member of Chief, an executive leadership network focused on driving more women into senior leadership positions and supporting them once there. She is also a licensed attorney and began her career practicing insurance defense in New York.
