Vertafore, an insurance distribution technology platform, announced general availability of its new Velocity Document Intelligence Agent, which automates research across insurance documents.

Users ask a question in natural language and the AI agent finds and synthesizes relevant information across the content they are authorized to access—spanning Word documents, spreadsheets, PDFs, images, email, and more—bringing it together in a clear answer with document and page level source citations. Unlike traditional keyword search, the agent uses the meaning and context of the question to surface relevant information.

Document Intelligence Agent can identify and summarize changes in coverage between policy terms, bring together claims and loss history to support underwriting or reconstruct the documented sequence of communications around a claim.

Built on the Vertafore VelocityTM AI Platform, Document Intelligence Agent is the latest addition to Vertafore’s growing portfolio of AI agents embedded directly in the workflows insurance professionals use every day.

One Inc, a digital payments network for the insurance industry, launched XpressOne.

Vendors and providers now have the option to join XpressOne for payments and reconciliation, with features that include self-service payment management, automated routing by location, custom reporting and real-time visibility.

Two payment modalities allow funds to arrive through XpressOne ClaimsCard, a flexible card-based option, and XpressOne Direct, which deposits funds straight into the vendor’s bank account. Support for RTP and FedNow is coming soon.

XpressOne aims to be a single place for vendors to manage their own payments with fewer stop-payments, reissues and escalations, and fewer routine payment calls to the service center. It also seeks to drive greater digital payment adoption.

Qumis, a coverage intelligence platform for commercial property/casualty insurance, introduced Qumis MCP, a new connector designed to bring its insurance-specific intelligence directly into Claude and other AI assistants, applications and enterprise workflows.

Instead of sending users to a separate platform, Qumis MCP lets general-purpose AI tools draw directly on Qumis’ specialized insurance capabilities when expertise is needed. It connects directly into Claude, Copilot and other AI assistants and workflow environments. For organizations building their own AI agents and applications, Qumis MCP also provides access through the open MCP standard, enabling Qumis’s insurance intelligence to become part of custom workflows and automations. The platform is built by coverage lawyers to perform side-by-side policy comparisons, coverage gap reviews, document analysis, and generate automated document summaries backed by page-level citations.

Qumis MCP is available for enterprise clients through licensed Qumis subscriptions.
