Chubb announced that Bill Hazelton has been appointed to Chief Operating Officer for North America Field Operations, effective Dec. 1, 2025.
Chubb said Hazelton will have a specific focus on deepening longstanding relationships with top trading partners; overseeing national distribution management, business development and Chubb Insurance Solutions Agency Inc.; ensuring alignment with strategic deliverables; and fostering growth across all business segments. He will report to Chris Maleno, Senior Vice President, Chubb Group, Vice Chairman, North America Insurance and Division President, North America Field Operations.
Hazelton brings more than three decades of extensive industry experience in underwriting, claims and distribution partner management to the role. He most recently served as Executive Vice President & President of North America Insurance for Everest Group, Ltd. Prior to that, he served more than 18 years with Chubb, holding a variety of roles including Head of North America Industry Practices, Head of North America Claims and leadership roles in Chubb’s Real Estate & Hospitality and Construction Industry Practices and Environmental and Excess Casualty business units.

Everest Group announced the appointment of Elias Habayeb as EVP and Group Chief Financial Officer, to be effective on or about May 1, 2026.
Habayeb will report to Jim Williamson, Everest’s President and CEO, and will join the company’s executive leadership team. He succeeds Mark Kociancic, who will retire from the company after five years of service following the Q1 reporting cycle and will remain with Everest as a special advisor through the transition period.
Habayeb has over 30 years of experience leading global finance organizations in the insurance and financial services industries. He most recently served as CFO of Corebridge Financial, overseeing all finance and actuarial operations. Before that, he held CFO roles at several divisions of American International Group (AIG), including General Insurance and Life & Retirement, where he led the successful IPO that established Corebridge Financial as an independent company. Earlier in his career, he was CFO of International Lease Finance Corporation, an AIG subsidiary, and a partner in Deloitte & Touche’s Capital Markets Group, focusing on financial services and structured products.
Everest Group also appointed Gary Haase as EVP and CEO of Legacy Operations, effective Dec. 1, 2025. He will report to Jim Williamson, Everest’s President and CEO, and will join the executive leadership team. He will lead the strategy and execution of Everest’s legacy insurance portfolios, driving capital efficiency, operational discipline, and long-term value.
Haase brings more than two decades of experience across insurance, reinsurance and financial services. Most recently, he served as Executive Advisor to private equity and technology firms, guiding them through insurance M&A and AI transformation. Previously, he was EVP and COO at CNA Financial Corporation, where he led enterprise technology, data and analytics, and operations, and the development of CNA’s cloud-native analytics and automation platform. He also spent more than a decade with Catalina Holdings (Bermuda) Ltd., rising to Group COO, where he led the company’s global run-off and operational strategies across multiple jurisdictions. He began his career in actuarial and reinsurance roles at Quanta U.S. Holdings and Aon Benfield.
