InsurTech Bold Penguin has inked a partnership with Berkshire Hathaway’s biBERK that will help users gain access to workers compensation coverage.
Bold Penguin is an Ohio-based commercial insurance exchange technology platform. Berkshire Hathaway’s biBERK is a unit that lets small business owners shop online for Berkshire Hathway company-produced commercial vehicle, general liability, property and workers compensation, among other lines, either direct to consumer or via a customer service team.
The partnership will let agent and broker users of the Bold Penguin platform triage, quote and bind commercial insurance coverages available through an API (application program interface) integration. Agents and brokers will gain digital access to biBERK’s suite of Workers Compensation products as part of the deal.
Bold Penguin, which launched initially in 2016, announced earlier in January that it acquired xagent, an independent, single-entry, multi-quote platform for standard and surplus lines business insurance markets.
