Specialist insurer Beazley launched a comprehensive policy designed to cover infringements of Title IX, the federal law prohibiting discrimination based on sex in any public education program.

The policy provides coverage for employment practices liability (EPL) and sexual misconduct & molestation liability (SML) for educational institutions in the U.S. that receive federal funding.

EPL and SML coverage under the policy includes losses resulting from any employment practices claim, sub-limited defense costs resulting from any wage and hour claim and sub-limited employment event loss, among other benefits. Employee on employee sexual molestation coverage can also be considered.

The cover provides EPL and SML limits of up to $10 million.

Coalition, an MGA focused on cyber insurance for small and midsize businesses, has expanded the reach of its cyber and technology errors and omissions coverage.

Previously, the coverage was available to companies with less than $250 million in revenue, but it now includes middle market companies with up to $1 billion in annual revenue.

Middle market companies now have access to Coalition’s cybersecurity tools as well as up to $15 million of comprehensive insurance coverage backed by Swiss Re Corporate Solutions and Lloyd’s of London.

Coalition’s cyber insurance policies for middle market businesses come with a suite of enterprise-grade cybersecurity tools—including 24/7 security monitoring, anti-ransomware, employee security training, among others—along with access to a dedicated security and incident response team, and comprehensive insurance coverage in the event of an incident. All services are included within the policy premium.
