Sentry Insurance announced that it has finalized an affiliation agreement with Hortica Insurance, a leading insurer in the floral industry, to make Horton a member of Sentry Insurance Group.
The affiliation is subject to review and approval by both the Wisconsin Office of the Commissioner of Insurance and Illinois Department of Insurance.
As a member of Sentry Insurance Group, Hortica (formerly Florists’ Mutual Insurance Co.) will maintain its name and brand and will continue doing business from its current headquarters.
“We are very pleased to add the premier insurance company serving the floral and horticultural industry to the Sentry Insurance Group,” said Pete McPartland, president, CEO and chairman of Sentry. “Sentry’s resources and Hortica’s expertise will provide Hortica with the services, financial support and purchasing power needed to thrive in their market.”
