Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty, which is part of Allianz Group, named Ulrich Kadow as chief agent for Canada.
Kadow will be based in Canada and report to Arthur Moossmann, president and CEO of AGCS’s North America division.
Kadow has held a variety of positions in Europe with AGCS since 2006. Most recently, he was global head of package & multiline and helped establish the mid-market property, liability and engineering business in Canada, Asia, South Africa, Australia and Denmark.

Ironshore is bringing on a former CNA executive as senior vice president, mergers & acquisitions.
Mark Reilly’s job will be to help build Ironshore’s IronPro Equity Financial Lines practice, and to help expand Ironshore’s presence in the private equity sector across all specialty lines of business.
Before IronPro, Reilly managed CNA’s private equity practice. In his new job, he’ll be based in New York and report to IronPro Executive Vice President Tom Leahy.

Guy Carpenter & Co. named a Willis Re executive as the new managing director and U.S. sales leader for its excess & surplus lines specialty practice.
Garrick Smith most recently served as branch manager for Willis Re in McLeansville, N.C. He was also previously a member of Willis Re’s casualty and workers compensation practice groups, among other slots at the company.

JLT Re promoted David Flandro to global head of analytics, effective immediately.
Flandro was previously JLT Re’s global head of strategic advisory, a position he took on in mid-2014. He is credited with developing the practice to combine the key disciplines of ERM, rating agency advisory and other strategic consulting.
Before JLT Re, Flandro served as global head of business intelligence for Guy Carpenter.
