Specialist insurer Hiscox said it is beefing up its U.S. offerings for professional service firms.
The expanded products are part of Hiscox’s PRO line of insurance coverage, and contain added admitted policies for technology, miscellaneous professional, and privacy/data breach. Also new: general liability products with media and cyber enhancements to Hiscox’s existing range of professional liability coverage options.
Hiscox, additionally, is marketing added automatic additional insured status, as needed for the home healthcare market. This business will also gain third-party property damage coverage, defense outside of the limits and business personal property damage coverage as part of the Hiscox PRO Allied Healthcare product. Standalone general liability coverage (on an admitted and surplus lines basis) on both occurrence and claims made forms is now part of the equation, Hiscox said in its announcement.
Hiscox’s expanded PRO admitted policies will be filed across the country and in the District of Columbia and are meant to complement the insurer’s existing nationwide E&S offerings. Hiscox has a large U.S. presence, through which it offers professional liability and related coverage.
