Meadowbrook Insurance Group, Inc. announced that Winifred “Wendy” A. Baker, a former executive of Lloyd’s USA, is one of four individuals nominated for three-year terms on its board of directors.
In addition, Robert H. Naftaly, Robert W. Sturgis, and Jeffrey A. Maffett have been nominated for re-election terms—all for three-years terms expiring in 2017.
Bruce E. Thal’s name has been placed in nomination for re-election for a two-year term expiring in 2016.
If elected for the first time to Meadowbrook’s board, Baker would bring over 35 years of insurance and reinsurance expertise to the role, said Meadowbrook’s Board Chairman David K. Page, noting her significant underwriting, reinsurance, claims, actuarial, audit, regulatory, product development, marketing and management experience within the insurance industry.
Baker’s name is included for election with the others in Meadowbrook’s 2013 Proxy Statement for its May 16 Annual Meeting.
