Will Ross is co-founder and CEO of Federato, the industry’s first RiskOps platform for P/C and specialty insurance. Ross is an expert in machine-learning based optimization mathematics and climate/atmospheric modeling, having completed his graduate studies at Stanford University, where he worked under many of the world’s leaders in the field. He started Federato after observing, as a wildfire cat modeler, that many insurers struggle to operationalize the underwriting and risk selection strategies that their actuarial science tells them are correct. He has driven more than $100 million in product revenues for IBM’s Watson Group, educated more than 1,000 executives in Udacity’s ‘AI for Business Leaders’ program, and served as a graduate fellow in Stanford University’s Data Science Institute + TomKat Center for Sustainability.
