Ben Chang is Vice President of Engineering for Application Platform at Guidewire Software, where he leads the engineering organization behind the platform that powers InsuranceSuite for P&C insurers worldwide. His teams own the core application framework, developer tooling, and cloud-delivery foundations that Guidewire’s products and customers build on. Ben led Guidewire’s AI-powered innovation initiative, embedding generative AI across both the product portfolio and the engineering organization. His current focus is agentic development: how AI agents change how large engineering teams design, build, and ship enterprise software, and which platform investments make that safe at scale. Before that, he was a key contributor to Guidewire's application platform, integration framework, and seamless update strategy.
