Overview
Mitchell, Williams, Selig, Gates & Woodyard, P.L.L.C. has released a survey of state insurance department regulatory actions related to the COVID-19 pandemic as of May 12, 2020.
The survey aims to help companies stay abreast of the latest state actions as insurance regulators continue to respond to a wide variety of COVID-19 related issues, including (1) the treatment of “insurance” as an “essential business” in light of “Stay at Home” orders; (2) encouraging continued flexibility when dealing with insureds; and (3) extension or waiver of filing requirements for various insurance company filings.
