Overview
Deloitte Center for Financial Services has released this report on the state of gender parity in leadership positions at financial services companies. As part of the first report in a series offering a roadmap for cultivating more female leadership in financial services, the quantitative analysis assesses how women have fared in leadership roles at more than 100 large US financial services institutions since 1998.
Focusing on the “biggest of the big” – including the top 25 insurance firms by asset size – three things stood out:
• Female leadership by 2030 will improve, but still be far below parity.
• Female CEOs have a quantifiable multiplier effect.
• There is a widening gap between women in the C-suite and other senior leadership roles.
The report also offers four strategies to “reach higher” and fully unlock the potential of their leadership pipeline.
We thank Deloitte Center for Financial Services for sharing this report with our audience.
