Harry Tucker, Executive Vice President and National Property Practice Leader, AmWINS Group, Inc.
As a leader in U.S. property brokerage with over 30 years of experience in wholesale property, Harry Tucker has extensive knowledge ranging from large national accounts, catastrophe driven risks, and market challenged property accounts. Before joining AmWINS as the firm’s Property Practice Leader, he was a Senior Vice President with RT Specialty in New York. Prior to that, he was Area President of Property at Risk Placement Services for eight years, overseeing their property practice. Earlier in his career, Harry was Senior Vice President at Stewart Smith East, and he worked for nine years with Swett & Crawford in their National Marketing Department. Harry is a graduate of the University of Florida.
Carlton W. Maner, Chief Executive Officer, AXIS U.S. Property and Casualty Insurance
Carlton Maner is CEO of AXIS U.S. Property and Casualty Insurance Division and Global Practice Leader for AXIS property lines of business. Prior to becoming CEO of AXIS U.S. P&C, Carlton was President of AXIS Specialty Lines Division, which underwrites property, marine and casualty business on a worldwide basis. He also led the E&S Property unit from 2003 to April 2007. Carlton has 36 years of insurance experience and is based in Alpharetta, GA. Before joining AIXS, Carlton was SVP of Property for the Westchester Specialty Division of ACE USA. At ACE USA, Carlton was responsible for Westchester’s property portfolio and catastrophe management division within the United States. His prior experience also includes working at Zurich Insurance Company, Home Insurance Group, St. Paul Fire & Marine and the insurance brokerage firm of Haas & Dodd.
Bryan W. Sanders, President, Markel Wholesale
Bryan W. Sanders is President of Markel Wholesale and previously served as Chief Executive Officer of Alterra Specialty from September 2011 to May 2013. From 2010 to September 2011, Bryan was Chief Operating Officer of Alterra Specialty. Prior to the merger of Max Capital and Harbor Point in 2010, Bryan served in the same capacity for Max Specialty, having joined Max in August 2006. Bryan has over 33 years of insurance industry experience; previously he was with the Hilb Rogal and Hobbs Company serving as Director of the Excess and Surplus Lines Division and as President of its Dominion Specialty Group, Inc. Prior to joining HRH, Bryan was President of MacDuff Underwriters, Inc., a managing general agency and a wholly owned subsidiary of Brown and Brown, Inc. Bryan began his underwriting career in 1981 with Aetna Casualty and Surety Company. Bryan holds a BA in Business from Kent State University as well as the CIC and ARM designations. He is currently serving on the Board of Advisors for Appalachian State University’s Brantley Risk & Insurance Center and as an Associate Member on the AAMGA Board.
Frank Murphy, Chief Executive Officer, THB Group, Inc.
Frank Murphy has served as the CEO of THB Group since April 2009. Frank is responsible for international group strategy and development, and is also currently an Executive Committee Member of the London & International Insurance Brokers’ Association (LIIBA). 2015 marked Frank’s 40th anniversary in the insurance industry. Prior to joining THB in 1999, he held a Director’s role at Arthur J. Gallagher (UK) Limited. He was appointed to the THB Group Board in July 2004 after becoming CEO of THB’s Lloyd’s broker in 2003.
Bob Black, Executive Vice President, Property, AmWINS Brokerage of Georgia
Bob has worked for AmWINS Group since 2004 and is currently one of the firm’s leading property brokers. As Executive Vice President – Property, he specializes in and is responsible for the production and marketing of all lines of property and inland marine business, including large and/or complex placements, national property schedules, multifamily placements, portfolios exposed to catastrophe, loss distressed business, and single peril coverage for the perils of flood, earthquake, wind/hail and terrorism. Bob also serves as the property leader of AmWINS’ national real estate practice, which has collective premium of nearly $1 billion. Prior to joining AmWINS, Bob worked for Ernst & Young as a Manager and Salesperson, and CashTech Solutions as Director of Sales – Americas. Bob graduated from the University of Iowa in 1995 with a degree in Finance and a minor in Accounting.
