The Property & Liability Resource Bureau (PLRB) announced that Bryan Falchuk has been named the company’s next president and chief executive officer, effective Jan. 1, 2023.
Falchuk succeeds Thomas Mallin, who is retiring after 44 years of distinguished service, including 19 as president and CEO.
Prior to joining PLRB, Falchuk was founder and managing partner of industry advisory firm Insurance Evolution Partners and is well-regarded for his book series, “The Future of Insurance.” He has held senior roles in insurance and InsurTech companies such as Liberty Mutual, Beazley, Hiscox and Hi Marley, and was as a consultant in McKinsey & Company’s P&C practice. He has led functions across the insurance value chain, including Distribution & Marketing, Underwriting, Claims and Operations.

Corvus Insurance said it recently welcomed Angela Singhal Whiteford as its new chief marketing officer. She joins Corvus’ executive leadership team and reports directly to the company’s CEO, Madhu Tadikonda.
Whiteford brings more than two decades of marketing and product management experience spanning several technology verticals, including telecommunications, identity management and robotics. She previously held marketing leadership roles at high-tech brands, including Affirmed Networks (acquired by Microsoft), Forter and Berkshire Grey.

AXA XL has welcomed two new members to its Client Management Team with the addition of Rana Gillmon as senior client relationship leader and Allan Jackson as client relationship leader. Both are based in Atlanta and report to James Martin, head of Client Management for the Americas.
With over 21 years’ insurance industry experience, Gillmon joins AXA XL from Chubb, where she held the role of global client executive and managed key client relationships, domestically and globally, in its North America Major Accounts Division. Prior to Chubb, she was a portfolio manager in Marsh’s Private Equity Mergers & Acquisitions Group.
Bringing nearly 20 years of insurance industry experience, Jackson joins AXA XL from Marsh, where he most recently served as Southeast zone leader for the company’s Environmental Practice. Prior to his time at Marsh, he was an Environmental and Construction professional broker at Aon for 12 years, and an account executive at E.G. Bowman Company.

Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI) announced a pair of promotions on its U.S. Executive & Professional Lines team, naming Shelley Norman as senior vice president, Management Liability, U.S., and Jason Preston as senior vice president, Management Liability, Central Region.
Norman, who has more than 25 years of industry experience, joined BHSI in 2021 as SVP, Management Liability, Central Region. In her new role, she will oversee BHSI’s regional teams underwriting commercial public and private nonprofit management liability insurance nationwide. She continues to be based in Chicago.
Preston has more than 22 years of industry experience spanning both the underwriting and brokerage sides of the business. He joined BHSI in 2021 as VP, Management Liability. In his new role, he will oversee BHSI’s commercial public and private nonprofit management liability underwriting team in the Central region. He continues to be based in Chicago.
