BondExchange added another capability to its surety bond technology, introducing the BX Command Center for its agent partners.

This update will allow agents to embed the BX underwriting and quoting engine on their agency’s website, instantly issue riders online, including changes that affect premium, manage upcoming renewals and pending quotes, upload underwriting documents to specific bonds, and edit agency marketing on BX’s proprietary Agent Finder.

BondExchange provides independent insurance agents with technology to quote, issue and administer surety bonds for their customers. In 2016, the company launched BondExchange.com, a fully automated surety platform that works for insurance agents. Recent upgrades to the platform include free marketing and SEO for agents with BX Agent Finder, a white-label surety platform with BX Surety Pro, and payment options for agents and their customers with BX Pay.

The Demex Group, a provider of comprehensive solutions for modeling, assessing and managing climate-linked risks at scale, announced the launch of its new snowfall insurance.

Demex has a focus on climate risk, which includes sustainable finance and climate risk transfer. Its snow insurance aims to deliver climate resilience by addressing volatility and stabilizing operational budgets that are linked to snowfall.

Demex Revenue Protection Insurance for snow removal was created for snow removal contractors and snow-dependent businesses, and claims are triggered when snowfall is extremely low. Demex Cost Control Insurance serves property owners, facility managers and municipalities, and claims are triggered when snowfall is extremely high.

Both policies are backed by non-admitted paper from Evanston Insurance Company, a subsidiary of Markel, a provider of specialty insurance.
