The Latest Launches From Skyward Specialty, Everest Insurance, ALE Solutions

Skyward Specialty Insurance Group Inc., a provider of specialty property/casualty insurance, has selected a new provider of transactional commercial surety and added cannabis to its transactional surety portfolio.

John Denton has been named transactional surety leader and is tasked with expanding the company’s transactional commercial surety footprint nationally. Denton brings more than eight years of industry experience in various positions, including in commercial claims and excess and surplus lines underwriting, and most recently, at a managing general agency, managing a large volume of transactional surety bonds.

The company most recently targeted cannabis bonds as an addition to its transactional surety portfolio, marking the third cannabis-related product Skyward Specialty has added in recent months. Skyward Specialty is aiming to strengthen its position in the surety market in the future.

Everest Insurance, the insurance division of Everest Re Group Ltd., announced the launch of Middle Market Property, a new commercial property insurance product designed to serve the unique and unmet needs of middle-market customers.

This launch will position Everest to meet middle-market demand for tailored risk management programs that match the size and scale of its operations.

As part of the company’s strategic investment in the middle market, Everest also announced that Ross Kerr will lead as head of Middle Market Property. Kerr will focus on building upon the organization’s domain expertise and further simplifying the experience to meet the nuanced, evolving needs of midsize companies. He joined Everest’s property team in December 2021 after spending 12 years in commercial property insurance at Arch Insurance Group, Swiss Re, Berkshire Hathaway and RT Specialty.

Everest’s new Middle Market Property product will be written on the Everest Pinnacle Property form, enabling U.S. clients across real estate, healthcare, technology, manufacturing, hospitality and financial services, among others, to place their entire property coverage with a single carrier. It offers coverage of up to $350 million in capacity provided by Everest.

ALE Solutions Inc., a FLEETCOR company and provider of lodging products to the insurance industry, released MyALE HOME – a new policyholder native app.

MyALE HOME is designed specifically for the displaced homeowner. It allows policyholders to manage all aspects of their temporary housing stay on any mobile device. The app includes receipt capture functionality for policyholders to upload and store loss of use receipts for costs like pet housing, meals and utilities throughout their stay. The receipts are captured within the app and can be easily found and referenced when needed by policyholders and adjusters.

Other key features of the app allow the policyholder to view details of temporary housing, learn what to expect of the temporary housing process, request hotel or housing extensions, communicate with the hotel or landlord, and contact an ALE representative anytime.

Additional receipt capture functionality extends to MyALE Claims Portal for adjusters to manage and manually upload receipts in the MyALE Claims Portal, track expenses against the additional living expenses limit, export receipt capture data into an Excel document, and receive receipt notifications based on selected interval settings.
