January 8, 2022

Arch Reinsurance Company announced several changes to its leadership team that were effective Jan. 1, 2022:

The promotions coincide with the retirement of former Arch Re North America CEO Ken Vivian at the end of 2021.

“I want to thank Ken Vivian for leading the Arch Re franchise in North America and wish him the best in his well-earned retirement,” said Maamoun Rajeh, Chairman and CEO of Arch Worldwide Reinsurance Group. “Our bench is deep, and our next generation of leaders is stepping up. Peder did an excellent job as CUO and is highly respected by both Arch’s clients and his colleagues. I’m excited to see Arch Re Co. continue to grow under his leadership. Jess and Josh’s promotions to co-CUOs highlight the caliber of people we have at Arch Re and our emphasis on promoting from within. We have an incredible trajectory at Arch Re Co. and I’m looking forward to the next chapter.”

Guidewire has appointed John Mullen as president and chief revenue officer. In this newly created role, he will lead the company’s global sales, delivery services and customer success organizations.

Mullen will start at Guidewire in early February, reporting to CEO Mike Rosenbaum.

An industry veteran with more than 25 years of experience, Mullen most recently served as head of the North America Business Unit at Capgemini.

“John is an outstanding leader with extensive experience in P&C insurance, having driven many of the industry’s most complex and successful transformations,” said Rosenbaum. “I’m delighted to welcome him to Guidewire’s management team, and I look forward to working with him on our mission to enable insurers, including the largest in the world, to engage, innovate and grow efficiently with Guidewire Cloud.”
