A Chubb veteran signed on to AXA XL to head its Global Risk Management business in the southwestern United States. American Family spinout Arturo hired its first-ever Chief Marketing Officer. QBE named a new director of Canada.
AXA XL appointed Charles Lee to head its Global Risk Management business in the South West Region of the U.S.
Based in Los Angeles, Lee will manage all aspects of the underwriting operations within his region, including portfolio profitability, new business production and broker and client relationships for the U.S. Risk Management and Multinational businesses.
Lee joins AXA XL from Chubb where he was Senior Vice President, Global Client Executive and led the Global Casualty Pacific South Region in Los Angeles. He has also been at the helm of multiple specialized casualty departments in the Toronto, New York and Western US markets.
American Family spinout Arturo hired Anita Tulsiani as its first-ever Chief Marketing Officer. She will be responsible for building the marketing organization, with an emphasis on digital marketing, omni-channel excellence, and bolstering Arturo’s value proposition.
Tulsiani brings deep industry knowledge and strong business acumen in insurance, real estate, technology, and data and analytics. Previously, she was the Vice President of Marketing for real estate brokerage eXp Realty, where she was responsible for leading product marketing for the United States, Global, Commercial and Partner Program.
Before that, she was Vice President of Marketing at CoreLogic, a provider of property insights and products, where she supported the insurance, real estate, rental property, and geospatial solutions verticals. In her eight years at CoreLogic, she was able to help drive corporate growth as part of the company’s diversification approach. She also played a critical role in steering CoreLogic’s messaging through eight M&A transactions within the insurance and real estate businesses, conveying the firm’s consistent vision while integrating its new product capabilities.
Arturo is a deep learning company focused on delivering highly accurate physical property characteristic data and predictive analysis for residential and commercial properties for use in the P/C insurance, Reinsurance, Lending, and Securities markets.
QBE has appointed Ben Hunter as the insurer’s director of Canada.
Hunter is currently vice president, head of Marine, Energy, Construction & Risk Services at Liberty Mutual Canada. He brings a wealth of experience of the Canadian insurance market to his new role, having previously held leadership roles in Travelers Canada and Chubb Insurance.
He joins in January 2022 and will report to Peter Burton, executive director, International Markets, QBE European Operations. He takes over the role from Jamie Thompson who was appointed Director of Financial Lines, QBE European Operations in May this year.
