Neal Bhatnagar has been appointed Executive Vice President, Major Accounts, Casualty, Global Risk Solutions (GRS) at Liberty Mutual Insurance.
Bhatnagar, who starts on Nov. 8, will oversee the underwriting and risk management teams for a national accounts portfolio across such industries as construction and healthcare, as well as excess casualty and Liberty’s growing sharing economy expertise.
Bhatnagar will report to GRS President, Major Accounts, Mike Fallon.
Bhatnagar previously served as Head of Field Operations at Chubb Global Casualty, overseeing Chubb’s U.S. Risk Management and Multinational Casualty business. He also has held roles at Zurich, The Hartford and State Farm.

Zurich North America appointed Linda Schultz as thenew Head of Life Sciences for its U.S. Middle Market business unit. Specifically, Schultz joins the Industry Practices leadership team and reports to John Mizzi, Head of Industry Practices, U.S. Middle Market.
Schultz is responsible for developing and implementing a business plan focused on building Life Sciences industry specialization and underwriting expertise for several subsegments, including medical device manufacturers and providers, pharmaceutical manufacturers, research and development labs, and clinical trial administrators. Zurich will begin accepting submissions for Life Sciences business in early 2022.
Schultz joins Zurich from The Hartford, where she was Head of Life Science U.S. Product Liability. In this role, she successfully integrated the Navigators Life Sciences team that she previously led, with Hartford’s Life Sciences division. Prior to Navigators, Schultz held life sciences and other underwriting, producer and claims roles at OneBeacon, Hilb Rogal & Hobbs, Chubb and Travelers.
Schultz lives in Pittsburgh with her husband and enjoys hiking, camping and traveling.

Willis Towers Watson chose Diana Fox Carney as a strategic adviser in its Climate Resilience Hub.
As a long-standing leader in transformative policy and business thinking, Fox Carney will join Willis Towers Watson’s climate, resilience and ESG solutions teams serving corporates and public sector institutions in North America and worldwide.
As a development economist, Fox Carney developed early insights on global sustainability risks and the challenges, choices and opportunities for institutions on the pathway to low carbon, net zero futures. Previously, Fox Carney led research at the IPPR think tank and was a former Executive Director of Pi Capital, curating and communicating world-shaping ideas for leaders from business and finance. She has also held senior roles at think tanks in Canada and the U.K., focused primarily on energy and climate.
Fox Carney is a Fellow of the Balsillie School of International Affairs and is a current, or past, board member of several not-for-profit organizations in development and climate. She works with several climate technology companies and sits on the advisory board of BeyondNetZero, a growth equity fund focused on the reduction of carbon emissions.
