Executives On The Move at Pie Insurance and Arch Reinsurance

Pie Insurance appointed a number of new executives and a new board member. Arch Reinsurance Ltd. named a new Chief Financial Officer.

Pie Insurance, an InsurTech focused on workers comp insurance for small businesses, has hired four new executives with experience in insurance, technology and finance. A new board member has also joined the company.

Pie’s expanded leadership team now includes:

Chris Lankford, as VP of Engineering. Lankford was previously Chief Technology Officer of Next Trucking.
Nick Sinigaglia, as Chief Accounting Officer. He was previously Chief Accounting Officer of Money Mart and OnDeck Capital.
Amy Stern, as VP of Reinsurance and Capital Solutions. She was previously Chief Ceded Reinsurance Officer of AIG.
Dale Willis, as VP of New Lines. He was recently VP of Data Services and Insurance of Netradyne and previously with Progressive Insurance—as VP of New Lines.

Separately, Kirsten Wolberg has joined Pie’s Board of Directors. She has more than 20 years of experience in high growth financial and technology businesses such as Charles Schwab, Salesforce and PayPal. Most recently, Wolberg served as Chief Technology and Operations Officer at DocuSign.

Arch Reinsurance Ltd. made Vanessa Hardy Pickering its new Chief Financial Officer. She begins on Sept. 1, 2021 and will report to Jerome Halgan, Chief Executive Officer of ARL.

Most recently, she served as CFO for Hamilton Re, Ltd. and Group Treasurer for Hamilton Insurance Group, Ltd. She has also held senior financial roles at Ariel Re and Rosemont Reinsurance Ltd. Hardy Pickering is an established insurance/reinsurance executive with a track record of supporting strategic growth plans, assembling and leading strong teams and serving as a trusted business partner to a variety of stakeholders, Arch said.
