Executives On The Move at Hamilton Insurance and Hippo

Hamilton Insurance brought in a rising executive to be Head of Mergers and Acquisitions Insurance, a newly-created position. Hippo Enterprises named a new board member – a veteran insurance executive who will help the company grow and pursue a path to the public markets.

Hamilton Insurance Group, Ltd. appointed Vanessa Young as Head of Mergers and Acquisitions Insurance across its global operations. The position is newly-created.

Young joined Hamilton in May, is based in London, and reports to Miles Osorio, Active Underwriter of Lloyd’s Syndicate 4000.

Young has more than 20 years of technical and industry experience. She joins Hamilton from Willis Towers Watson, where she was Executive Director for their Transactional Risks unit in London and led the establishment of a client-focused, technical, and risk-based approach to M&A broking projects. Before WTW, Young was a Senior Underwriter/Solicitor at Neon Underwriting, where she worked on numerous UK and international transactions with a focus on the renewable energy and real estate sectors.

Hippo Enterprises Inc., an MGA focused on digital home insurance, named Lori Dickerson Fouché h to the company’s board of directors.

In her role on Hippo’s board of directors, Fouché will guide the leadership team as Hippo accelerates its growth and pursues a path to the public markets.

Most recently, Fouché served as CEO of a division of TIAA, running the company’s Financial Solutions business. She led the transformation of TIAA’s retail and institutional businesses, a complex mix of retirement, banking, insurance, and wealth management units with $11 billion in revenue and $1 trillion in assets under management.

Earlier in her career, Fouché served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company, a top 20 U.S. property and casualty insurance company, where she refocused the Personal, Commercial, and Specialty Insurance businesses, driving significant gains in profitability and improved customer experience.

Fouché spent five years at Prudential Financial, most recently as Group Head of Individual Solutions with leadership over Individual Life Insurance, Prudential Annuities, and Prudential Advisors. Fouché held senior positions in strategy, marketing, and global product management for management and professional liability insurance products at Chubb & Son.
