Hot Off the Press! CM’s Second-Quarter Magazine Available Now

May 28, 2021

Carrier Management published its second-quarter magazine on Tuesday, May 25, “Fairness in Insurance,” in print and digital format.

This edition shines a light on InsurTechs that have the concept of fairness in insurance underwriting and pricing at the heart of their business models.

Already popular highlights of the edition include articles titled “Creating the USAA for the Gig Economy: Buckle CEO,” “Is Loop the Future of Automobile Insurance?” and “An Alternative View: Crediting Credit Scores.”

In addition, fairness in hiring is the subject of two articles aimed at company leaders and managers: “Prioritizing Potential to Build Future-Focused Teams” and “How to Optimize Your Investment in Human Capital.”

Features on financial trends and operations include insights on carrier loss reserve adequacy and how those reserve positions will impact the pricing cycle, the prospect of inflation in 2021, the emergence of embedded insurance, as well as advice for InsurTechs and specialty firms about choosing an operational structure (MGA or carrier) and knowing when to take a growth pause.

Regular contributors from InsurTech Praedicat offer their take on the question of whether antibiotics will be the next emerging liability insurance problem of a similar scale to tobacco or opioids.
