The insurers’ Technology Professional and Cyber Advantage cover is designed to be an integrated and broad errors and omissions, cyber, and risk management product for the technology sector. It’s designed to help address the complex and evolving risks facing technology companies, and it can be customized to meet the needs of startups to large, multinational corporations.

In addition to errors and omissions liability, cyber and privacy security liability, personal injury liability and media and content liability, Hanover Technology Professional and Cyber Advantage offers a number of first-party cyber coverage options, such as: Security breach notification and remediation, Data and systems restoration, Cyber extortion, Business income and extra expense, Funds transfer fraud, Public relations expenses

Specialist insurer Beazley debuted a new occurrence media liability policy covering the many risks faced by small to medium-sized media outlets and publishers in the United States.

The policy provides professional indemnity cover written on an occurrence basis, with a focus on defamation, libel & slander and infringement of copyright & trademark and includes a raft of other content-related exposures. In addition, it includes unintentional breach of contract with a client, and mitigation costs (sub-limited) to minimize claims escalation.

As well, the policy provides optional coverage for technology errors & omissions; information security and privacy; and bodily injury or property damage arising out of the publication of content.

The targeted customer base includes various professionals such as publishers, broadcasters, authors / journalists, bloggers, vloggers, social influencers and content creators, plus advertising producers and advertising agencies.
