Executives On The Move at Liberty Mutual, Marsh and Safety

Liberty Mutual’s Liberty Mutual Re promoted an executive who now oversees business in Panama and the Andean Region. Marsh appointed a new head of Victor Insurance Holdings, its managing general underwriter (MGU). Safety National Casualty Corporation made a number of senior management promotions.

Liberty Mutual Re, part of Liberty Mutual Insurance Group, promoted Juan Felipe Londoño to the position of general manager Colombia, with responsibility for the Andean Region and Panama.

He reports to Miguel Martinez-Alvarez, head of Business Development & Latin America. Londoño replaces Jose Ernesto Ospina who left the company by mutual agreement to pursue personal endeavors.

Before his promotion Londoño was Northern Latin America treaty underwriting manager in Bogota, a position he held since 2017. He was responsible for managing LM Re’s client portfolio and growing their footprint in the region. Prior to joining Liberty, he held various senior positions at JLT Re and Swiss Re, where he was P&C and L&H treaties vice president for the Andean Region.

Global insurance broker Marsh appointed Brian Hanuschak as CEO of Victor Insurance Holdings, its managing general underwriter (MGU) with locations in the U.S., Canada, UK, Netherlands, Germany, Italy and Australia.

Previously, Hanuschak served as president of Victor North America and prior to that was president of Victor O. Schinnerer & Co., now Victor US.

In his expanded role, he will oversee Victor’s global businesses including Victor North America, ICAT, Dovetail, and Victor International. Based in Chevy Chase, Maryland, Hanuschak reports to John Doyle, President and CEO, Marsh.
