Executives On The Move at Everest Insurance and AmTrust Financial Services

Everest Insurance added four new executives to its Financial Lines Team as part of a broader expansion of the line. AmTrust Financial Services appointed a new Head of Litigation.

Everest Insurance added four new executives to its Financial Lines Team as part of a broader expansion of the line.

They are:

• Tim Golden, as an Underwriting Manager on the Cyber team. He will be based out of the organization’s New York City office and report to Ayesha West, Vice President of Cyber. Before Everest, Golden spent three years at Chubb Insurance as an AVP in the Financial Lines unit. Previously, he worked in the Professional Risk & Cyber Liability segment at ACE USA (now part of Chubb).

• Kyle Auty, as a Director of Product Management based out of the organization’s New York City office. He brings over 10 years of legal experience and product expertise to Everest and will report to Reena Boltax, Esq., VP of Project Management. Auty most recently worked at Chubb North America as Legal Counsel. Previously, he spent time at Allied World Insurance Company, The Jackson Law Group, LLC f/k/a Bishop, Jackson & Kelly, LLC, and the Superior Court of Connecticut.

• Micah Placek, as a Senior Underwriter on the Private Company team. He will be based out of the organization’s Atlanta office and report to Meredith Little, Director of Private Company. Before Everest, Placek spent four years at Hiscox Insurance. Previously, he worked as an underwriter at AIG in the Private/Non-Profit Management Liability group.

• Kirk Meixner, as an Underwriter on the Lawyers Professional Liability team. He will be based out of the organization’s New York City office and report to Brittany Lannan, Manager of Professional Liability. Previously, Meixner spent two years underwriting Lawyers Professional Liability at Crum & Forster as an Associate Underwriter. Previously, he interned at Aspen Insurance and Laundry Owners Mutual Insurance.

AmTrust Financial Services, Inc.appointed Daniel Hargraves, as Executive Vice President, Head of Litigation.

He reports jointly to Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Barry Zyskind and EVP, Chief Financial Officer, Adam Karkowsky.

Hargraves has extensive experience in insurance related litigation and was most recently Managing Partner of the New York office of Freeborn & Peters, LLP. At Freeborn & Peters, Hargraves’ practice concentrated on litigating and arbitrating disputes on behalf of insurers, reinsurers, brokers, underwriting agents and pools.

Hargraves is ranked by Chambers USA nationwide for Insurance Dispute Resolution. He is listed in the 2019 Who’s Who Legal: Thought Leaders list of the most highly regarded individuals in Insurance law. He is also recognized by Legal 500 for his expertise and has been routinely listed in Euromoney’s World’s Leading Insurance and Reinsurance Lawyers and in the annual listing of New York Metro Super Lawyers, AmTrust said.
