Executives On The Move at QBE North America and Liberty Mutual

QBE North America named its first-ever Head of Claims. Liberty Mutual standalone unit Liberty Global Transaction Solutions hired a key executive.

QBE North America appointed Eric Sanders as Head of Claims, a new position.

Sanders will be tasked with helping to boost customer service by deepening integration across the company’s claims operations supporting QBE’s Alternative Markets and Specialty & Commercial businesses.

Specifically, Sanders will handle directing and providing vision for efficient claims operations by driving the strategic planning and holistic management of claims operations across North America. Reporting to Dan Franzetti, Chief Operating Officer, QBE North America, Sanders will lead QBE’s efforts to deliver impactful and sustainable transformation initiatives to increase customer satisfaction and overall performance of Claims Department functions.

Sanders joined QBE in 2013 and was most recently serving as SVP, Commercial/Alternative Markets Claims & TPA Management. He has nearly 30 years of experience in claims and has demonstrated a strong track record of success. Before joining QBE, he worked at Fireman’s Fund for nearly 20 years in positions of increasing responsibility in both Claims and Risk Services capacities. Before Fireman’s Fund, he worked in Claims at Aetna Casualty & Surety.

Liberty Mutual’s Liberty Global Transaction Solutions (GTS) named Jugdeep Singh as Head of Tax, based in London.

Singh will manage the Liberty GTS international tax liability insurance team for tax risks related to M&A transactions, restructurings and other bespoke situations throughout its global network of offices, reporting to Rowan Bamford, President of Liberty GTS.

Singh has more than 20 years’ experience serving with leading global professional services firms in London and New York advising on tax structuring and diligence across a broad range of cross-border M&A transactions, acting for both corporate and institutional clients. Most recently, he was with the Financial Services Transaction Tax division within M&A for Ernst & Young in London for eight years, latterly as an Associate Partner. Singh was responsible for tax advisory engagements within the Banking and Asset Management sectors, focusing on tax due diligence and tax structuring for both buy-side and sell-side transactions.

Before that, he worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers in its London and New York offices over a 14-year period including holding the position of UK Tax Senior Manager within the Financial Services International Structuring team in London, following his roles as U.S. Tax Manager and UK Tax Manager in New York.
