Executives On The Move at Chubb, RLI and OneBeacon

A newly promoted Chubb executive gains additional responsibilities in the Asia Pacific region. OneBeacon Insurance Group has a new president of its Management Liability business unit. RLI Corp. promoted several executives within its Claim department.

Chubb named Glen Browne as deputy regional president for Asia Pacific and division president, Southeast Asia. In his new role, Browne is responsible for the general management and business results in the six countries of Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam, as well as any future territories in Southeast Asia.

Browne will keep his existing position as executive vice president and regional head of Accident & Health (A&H) for Asia Pacific, inclusive of all digital distribution and bancassurance for Asia. He will still be based in Singapore and report to Paul McNamee, senior vice president of Chubb Group and regional president, Asia Pacific.

Browne joined the company, then known as ACE Group, in New Zealand in 2000 as the national commercial business manager. Over the next five years, he took on roles as regional SME manager for Asia and general manager for Taiwan’s A&H business. After leaving the company in 2005, he served in operational and management positions of increasing responsibility at AIG, Cigna International and Prudential Assurance. He rejoined ACE in 2012 as country president for Thailand, where he led the growth of the general insurance business.

RLI Corp. promoted several executives within its Claim department.

• Nic Mesco, assistant vice president, Claims, has been promoted to vice president, Claims, with executive leadership responsibility for RLI’s Casualty product claims. Mesco joined RLI in 2013 as claim director and was promoted to assistant vice president in 2016. Before joining RLI, he was an attorney at Tressler LLP. Mesco has more than 11 years of insurance industry experience.
• Matt Campen, assistant vice president, Claims, has been promoted to vice president, Claims, with executive leadership responsibility for RLI’s Property, Marine and Surety product claims. Campen joined RLI in 2013 as claim director and was promoted to assistant vice president, Claims, in 2017. Before joining RLI, he was a commercial catastrophe claim manager at Zurich North America. Campen has 15 years of insurance industry experience.
• Will Irish, assistant vice president, Claims, has been promoted to vice president, Claims, with executive leadership responsibility for RLI’s Transportation, Non-Transportation Auto and Personal Umbrella product claims. Irish joined RLI in 2016 as assistant vice president, Claims. Before RLI, he was zonal vice president, Claims, at AIG. Irish has 32 years of insurance industry experience.

Nelson Kefauver joined OneBeacon Insurance Group LLC as president of its Management Liability business unit, reporting to Executive Vice President Paul Brehm.

In his new role, Kefauver will lead a specialty underwriting team focused on providing management liability products and services for a broad range of not‐for‐profit organizations and private for‐profit companies in the U.S.

Kefauver has 20 years of specialty lines experience focused on professional liability, most recently serving as chief underwriting officer of the Executive Liability practice for Great American Insurance Group.

Kefauver will be based in OneBeacon’s Chicago office.
