Chubb appointed Annmarie Camp as head of its European Personal Risk Services division.

Camp, currently executive vice president of Personal Insurance National Sales and Distribution, North America, will take on the new position in August and relocate to London, pending any necessary regulatory approvals.

In her new role, Camp will be responsible for the performance of the company’s high-net-worth personal lines business in the U.K. and Continental Europe.

Camp joined Chubb Private Risk Services in 2009 as the regional vice president for the division’s Northeastern Region in the U.S. In 2011, she relocated to New Orleans to lead Chubb’s U.S. Southern regions. In 2014, Camp was appointed as the head of the North American Personal Insurance Sales and Distribution team, where she successfully led efforts to achieve profitable growth while guiding her team and distribution partners through the integration of Fireman’s Fund, ACE and Chubb high-net-worth practices. She previously held a variety of marketing and business development positions at AIG Private Client and at Progressive Insurance.

GEICO promoted Maria Scarangella to the position of vice president, with responsibility for overseeing the recruiting, selection and hiring of applicants. She’ll also oversee the development of associates during the beginning stages of their GEICO careers.

Scarangella joined GEICO in 1985 as a claims associate at the company’s office on Long Island, N.Y., and later moved to a role in human resources. She was then promoted to a management position, overseeing homeowners sales and service, and later a unit that sold multiple insurance product lines.

Scarangella moved to California in 1999 to serve as human resources director for the company’s San Diego regional office and was later named director of service for GEICO’s West Coast operations, followed by a promotion to West Coast sales director.

In 2012, Scarangella was elected a GEICO officer and relocated to Tucson, Ariz., to serve as assistant vice president of underwriting for the company’s insurance operations in seven western states.
