American International Group named an executive who was once an ABC network vice president as its new marketing/communications head for the General Insurance division. Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance has named two former Chubb executives to lead its new office in Perth, Western Australia.

American International Group hired Ed Dandridge as head of marketing and communications, General Insurance.
Dandridge takes on the new position as of April 16. He’ll handle creating and implementing General Insurance’s global marketing and communications strategy and programs. Dandridge will report to Peter Zaffino, chief executive officer, General Insurance, and will serve as a member of the General Insurance Executive Leadership Team.
Previously, Dandridge was at Marsh & McLennan Companies, where he served as global chief marketing and communications officer since 2014. Before that, Dandridge served as president and chief executive officer of The National Association of Investment Companies. Earlier in his career he was chief communications officer for Nielsen, a global information services company. Before that, he served as vice president of Network Television at ABC. Dandridge began his career as an attorney.

Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance has named two former Chubb executives to lead its new office in Perth, Western Australia, a division opened as part of the insurer’s broader expansion in the country.
Anthony Prindiville now leads the office’s Casualty underwriting and Mark Shepard will oversee the Property underwriting there. The office will underwrite construction, power, marine, transport and logistics, healthcare liability, accident and health, and executive and professional lines for a broad range of business segments.
Prindiville has more than 30 years of insurance industry experience, most recently as global distribution manager at Chubb Insurance Australia Limited. Shepard has been in the industry for over 16 years, most recently as underwriting manager of Property, Technical Lines and Energy at Chubb Insurance Australia Limited.
