Liberty Mutual Insurance hired a veteran Travelers executive in a leadership role. Allianz promoted two executives in Germany and Italy. Arch Capital Group promoted three executives to fill various key positions.

Nicolas Papadopoulo will become the new chairman and CEO of Arch Capital Group’s Arch Worldwide Insurance Group, and chief underwriting officer for Property & Casualty operations.
Papadopoulo joined Arch in 2001, is a 30-year insurance industry veteran, and is currently chairman and CEO of Arch Worldwide Reinsurance Group. He will succeed David McElroy, who decided to transition from his existing executive role to spend time with his family.
McElroy will continue as vice chairman of Arch Worldwide Insurance Group. Maamoun Rajeh, who has been with Arch since 2001, will become the new chairman and CEO of Arch Worldwide Reinsurance Group. He is currently president and CEO of Arch Reinsurance Ltd.
Arch, based in Bermuda, provides insurance, reinsurance and mortgage insurance globally through various wholly owned subsidiaries.

A veteran Travelers executive joined Liberty Mutual Insurance in a leadership role.
Gregg Cunningham, a 25-year insurance industry veteran, is now Liberty Mutual’s vice president National Insurance, and general manager, National 
Insurance Property. In his new role, Cunningham is leading the part of Liberty Mutual that provides property insurance, inland marine and equipment breakdown products and services to mid-size and large commercial customers.
Before joining Liberty Mutual, Cunningham had served since 2012 as chief underwriting officer for Middle Market Property at The Travelers Insurance Co., where he lead the team responsible for growing the line and improving its combined ratio over a five-year period.
Previously, Cunningham was also a regional vice president at Travelers and an account executive, going back to 2001. Additionally, he has experience working at CNA Re, Swiss Re, Munich Re and National Re.

Allianz promoted two executives to lead divisions in German and Italy.
Klaus-Peter Röhler will become the new chairman of the Management Board (CEO) of Allianz Deutschland, as of Jan. 1, 2018. He will replace Manfred Knof, who asked for the succession and will take time off after the leadership transition for health reasons, according to the announcement.
Röhler has been CEO of Allianz Italia SpA since 2014, a post he took on after serving as CEO of Allianz Suisse for two years. He’s been with Allianz since 1996.
Giacomo Campora, meanwhile, has been named as CEO of Allianz Italia as of Jan. 1. Right now, he’s general manager in charge of market and distribution at Allianz Italia, and CEO of Allianz Bank Financial Advisors.
