Verisk Acquires UK Geographic Data Group

Verisk Analytics, Inc., a data analytics provider, announced the acquisition of The GeoInformation Group, a participant in the field of geographic data solutions based in Cambridge, United Kingdom.

The GeoInformation Group offers large-scale mapping services and geospatial data and analytic solutions to a wide array of companies and more than 300 public sector organizations.

“This acquisition expands Verisk’s footprint in the U.K. as a data and analytics provider across multiple markets, including insurance, energy, and real estate,” said Scott Stephenson, chair, president, and chief executive officer of Verisk Analytics. “The GeoInformation Group’s resources complement our risk management and predictive analytics capabilities internationally.”
