Executives On The Move at Lemonade, Neon and Lockton

Neon promoted an executive to a newly-created leadership position. Lockton appointed several executives to fill slots in its expanding Energy and Marine risk management practice.

A former Liberty Mutual executive is joining P2P insurance startup Lemonade in a leadership role.

John Peters has been named Lemonade’s chief underwriting officer.

At Liberty Mutual, Peters held a number of executive positions including executive vice president, chief underwriting officer and chief product officer. Previously, he was also co-head of the North American Underwriting practice at McKinsey & Company.

Lemonade announced in September that it had obtained regulatory approval to open for business in New York, its first state in which it can operate.

The specialist Lloyd’s insurer Neon (formerly Marketform) promoted one of its executives to a newly created role.

Angus Wilson will be Neon’s new Head of Marine, in addition to his existing role as Class Underwriter for Marine Hull & War. As before Wilson will report to Chief Underwriting Officer Darren Lednor.

In his new, added role, Wilson will lead a team of six, including Cargo Class Underwriter Alistair Marriott, who joined Neon in 2015 from QBE. Wilson will be tasked with growing the Neon Marine portfolio, which includes products such as cargo, shipbuilding and offshore construction, marine liability and marine hull & war.
