The coverage will be sold through new Endurance business unit Endurance Global Risk Solutions, a division that targets middle market and large account risk management clients in select global industry verticals. Plans call for offering both primary and excess coverage for single sites or property portfolios.

New coverage products include a site environmental impairment liability product, an owner controlled insurance program providing environmental liability coverage for new development, and a new excess environmental product.

Zurich Insurance expanded its cyber insurance product to companies and their captives, with a focus on protecting against risks related to data security/cyber-related breaches.

cyber-risk-attacksCompanies and their captives can now tap into Zurich’s Security and Privacy Protection Policy to cover data breach-related costs including business income loss, dependent business income loss, notifying regulatory authorities and affected individuals, regulatory fines, media liability and defense and settlement.

Captive customers who buy the cyber coverage can also access The Zurich Service Corp. risk engineering team, which focuses on cyber-related issues.

Cyber security, data managementNational Interstate Insurance Company has unveiled a new cyber liability and data breach response policy for customers in the transportation industry.

The Ohio-based transportation and specialty insurance company said the policy is designed to address the growing threat of malicious cyber-attacks and employee errors that could lead to a sizeable loss. It is designed to provide coverage for certain economic losses if the company is a victim of a breach, and pricing/coverages will vary by state.

Coverage will also include crisis management and public relations services to use after an incident, as well as access to a risk management website with educational tools and resources. Limits range from $50,000 to $1 million.
