Executives On The Move at The Hanover, Allied World and Great American

The Hanover Insurance Group said its executive vice president and president, specialty insurance, will leave the company to pursue opportunities.

Andrew S. Robinson‘s resignation is effective Sept. 1, 2016.

THE HANOVER INSURANCE GROUP, INC. LOGOIn the short term, John “Jack” Roche, executive vice president and president, business insurance, will temporarily assume Robinson’s responsibilities. During this period, the company will continue to evaluate its strategic and business needs.

Joseph Zubretsky, president and CEO of The Hanover, thanked Robinson for his contributions, and said that the insurer still hopes to both grow and expand its domestic specialty capabilities.

Allied World Assurance Company Holdings has chosen a new executive to help run its Malaysia Allied Worldoperations.

The insurer’s Asia-Pacific arm appointed Ramesh Sivanathan as vice president, with the role of country manager in Malaysia. He’ll be based in Kuala Lumpur.

Sivanathan has more than 3 decades of experience in the insurance industry. Previously, he was Asia RI manager for Financial Lines at AIG Singapore. He was also once the director of business development for Federal Insurance’s Labuan branch.

In his new role, he’ll continue to lead the Division’s production and operational efforts as well as product development

Kay joined Great American as a divisional vice president in 2012. He has more than 12 years of public entity experience in pricing, underwriting and operations.
