Executives On The Move at QBE, BHSI, Aon and More

Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance launched a new accident and health division in Asia and appointed a Chubb veteran to lead it. Aon Benfield gets a new co-leader for its global cyber practice. Crawford & Co. named its president and CEO.

QBE North America hired a veteran of Nationwide as vice president, Commercial Agriculture Underwriting.

In his new role, Nathan Bleich will guide strategic development of commercial agricultural underwriting and an operational framework for the business. He’ll report to Walter Grote, senior vice president, Commercial Insurance.

Previously, Bleich spent the last 12 years at Nationwide working in its Agribusiness division, most recently as an Agribusiness underwriting director, where he helped profitably grow a 17-state underwriting territory and drive strong multichannel agency partnerships.

He is also a veteran of the Iowa Army National Guard.

Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance appointed Chubb veteran Phillip Brain as head of BHSI cropped Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Logo--updated--sent by Joann Lee in June 2014its new Accident & Health division in Asia.

Brain was most recently vice president, Accident & Health Group Manager, Asia Pacific at Chubb. Before that, he held related positions at AIG Asia Pacific and served in management roles for the insurer in Europe, Australia and New Zealand.

Brain is based in BHSI’s Singapore office. His newly launched division will initially focus on broker-distributed Group Personal Accident and Business Travel products.

Aon plc hired Luke Foord-Kelcey to co-lead Aon Benfield’s Global Cyber Practice group.

AON CORPORATION LOGOFoord-Kelcey will be based in London and handle cyber, driving the firm’s business strategy to enhance Aon Benfield’s cyber offering globally to insurers and reinsurers. Bill Henriques is co-head of the group and originally launched it.

Previously, Foord-Kelcey worked for insurance manager Tindall Riley. While there, his roles included launching Athena, which provides cyber and data privacy insurance and incident response management for professional services providers. Before that, he was JLT Specialty’s head of the Communications, Technology & Media practice.

Crawford & Co., a provider of claims management products for insurance companies and self-insured entities, named Harsha Agadi as its new president and CEO.CEO - Chief Executive Officer - Bunch of Keys with Text on Golden Keychain. Agadi had served as interim president and CEO since August 2015.

Agadi is chairman of GHS Holdings LLC, a family office. He has nearly 30 years of experience in various executive management positions for a number of food service, franchise and Fortune 500 companies.
