Executives On The Move at Progressive, Starr, Willis Towers Watson, Marsh and More

The Progressive Corp. has a new chief information officer. Starr Companies hired on an executive who cm-executives-on-the-move-square-3-capswill help grow its general aviation risks business. A Marsh division has a new global CEO. Catastrophe modeling firm Karen Clark & Co. added two new executives.

The Progressive Corp. named Steve Broz as its new chief information officer.

Broz replaces Ray Voelker, who recently retired after 30 years at Progressive, including 15 as chief information officer.

Broz was part of Voelker’s senior leadership team in charge of the technology group’s Enterprise Project Management office. Broz, a 15-year Progressive veteran, has also spent time in Progressive’s Customer Experience, Claims Process and Personal Lines divisions.

Starr Companies appointed Jason Jenkins as head of general aviation, major risks.

Jenkins has 25 years of underwriting experience with the general aviation market, and has developed his leadership skills through positions with various insurance companies and also Lloyd’s of London. In his new job, he’ll lead the team and oversee daily activities with an eye on growing the group as a lead market for major general aviation risks, both fixed and rotor wing.

Starr Companies is the operating insurance and travel assistance companies subsidiary of Starr International Company, which is part of C.V. Starr & Co. Inc. Starr provides property, casualty, and accident and health insurance products, plus specialty coverages including aviation, marine, energy and excess casualty insurance.

Willis Towers Watson made new senior leadership appointments within its Great Britain business.

willis-towers-watson-logoAilsa King will lead the broker and adviser’s Client Organization in Great Britain, which will focus on sales, account management, regional development, industry focus and marketing.

Within that division, Marco Boschetti will lead Human Capital & Benefits, and Alastair Swift will run Corporate Risk & Broking.

Marsh said it appointed Tom Davies as global CEO of Bowring Marsh, Marsh’s international wholesale two business men one woman leaders executives womenplacement broker.

The move is a promotion for Davies, who previously ran Bowring Marsh’s hub in the U.K. and Ireland.

Davies, a 25-year Marsh veteran, will have global responsibility for Bowring Marsh. The division employs more than 300 people in the U.K. and Ireland, Continental Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Latin America, the United States and Bermuda.

Karen Clark & Co. added two new executives to its senior management team.

The catastrophe modeling firm said Nozar Kishi has taken on the role of vice president, model development. Christopher Mossey will be vice president, client development.

Kishi a 20-year veteran of catastrophe modeling, will lead several initiatives including the Japan typhoon and earthquake Reference Models.

Mossey has focused on business development over the last 20 years with larger software companies. His last three years focused on catastrophe modeling. In his new role, he’ll work with major insurers and reinsurers on promoting KCC’s RiskInsight open platform and comprehensive catastrophe management tool kit.
