ACE Group is now selling a comprehensive single property and liability package insurance policy for companies doing business in the U.K. and Ireland. The insurer also promises the product will be jargon free and easy to use.
ACE said it developed the coverage (dubbed ACE Commercial Partner) after feedback from its national and regional broker panels. They asked for coverage that was comprehensive, jargon and warranty-free in a single, user friendly and easy to navigate policy document, according to the company.
Among new features of the coverage: clear and simple cover in property damage, business interruption, employers’ liability, public and products liability, ComputerGuard and terrorism.
The coverage package also has features such as a wide range of extensions with meaningful limits, including for emerging risks such as greening reinstatement and fly tipping. There are also options to extend cover so it includes claims preparation costs.
Phil Sharpe, ACE’s chief operating officer for the U.K. and Ireland, said in prepared remarks that the coverage is designed to proactively respond to “evolving customer needs” by eliminating jargon and warranties that “so often frustrate clients.”
Earlier in August, ACE rolled out a new web site – also for clients in the U.K. and Ireland – designed to give its employer liability clients access to a wide range of data and services.
