Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance announced Monday that it is entering the fiduciary liability market and has named Rhonda Prussack as vice president to lead the effort.
Prussack most recently served as executive vice president of fiduciary liability at AIG. Before moving into underwriting, she was senior retirement plan consultant at Dean Witter Reynolds, a stock brokerage and securities firm, and also worked at the New York City Employee Retirement System.
Prussack has authored numerous articles, contributed to several books, and is a frequent speaker on the topic of fiduciary liability and ERISA litigation. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Brooklyn College.
Berkshire said in a statement that the new fiduciary liability capabilities are part of its expanding executive liability product line. In January, the company introduced Executive First, D&O liability insurance for large commercial and financial organizations.
Boston-based Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance provides commercial property, casualty, healthcare professional liability, executive and professional lines insurance and programs for customers across the U.S.
